“National Zero Derby”
July 4th, 2018
The Sedalia Pettis Amateur Radio Klub will be operating Special Event Station NØD July 4th, 2018 from the Missouri State Fairgrounds, commemorating the 2018 National Derby Rallies National Championship for soap box derby cars. Operations will be in the General portions of the HF bands, 28.300-28.500 on 10m, and 147.03 -600 PL 179.9.

The Missouri National Guard has given us permission to set up our special event station NØD July 4th on the west side of the armory located on the west end of the fairgrounds, and is allowing us access to AC power. The armory is directly beside the starting line and race track for the derby cars, and we determined that this location is far more suitable than near the Swine Pavilion. Everyone is invited to attend and operate the special event station. Talk in will be on the 147.03 repeater, negative offset PL 179.9.

For a certificate send your QSL, $1 and a #10 SASE to NØEE, or send $2 and your certificate will be sent unfolded in a 9 x 12 envelope postage paid.

I have started sending login info to members. It is a slow process so be patient. It takes up to 10 minutes each to manually create an account and send the email.

They are being done alphabetically by last name and I am only going to do a few at a time to make sure there aren’t any problems.

I will try to have them all sent out by the end of today.

I was looking through an old backup drive and came across hundreds of old nets from 2007-2009 that I had recorded.

Repeaters include:

• Bolivar
• Clinton
• Raymore
• Sedalia
• Stover
• Warsaw
• Warrensburg

There were three SPARK Nets from 2009 and I posted them at the bottom of our Previous Nets page, highlighted in blue.

Anyone interested in copies of them can contact KC0TKS or the site Admins.

KE0QYA has gotten the order together and delivered to the supplier.

Look to take delivery June 1st

May 2018 SPARK Club meeting.

We were all in a tiny meeting room at the firehouse but still got business done and had a good time.

17 members were in attendance.

A number of things were discussed including Field Day,  a new club logo that Daren, KDØOPS is working on, T-shirts and the new Continue reading “Club Meeting 5 May 2018”

Daren,  KDØOPS is working on an updated logo for the club. He says this was just a “first quick pass”, but I think it looks awesome.
