S.P.A.R.K. to present Technician License Classes

To all interested in getting your HAM Radio License.

The course will be lead by a group of instructors on Jan. 12, 2019 (time 8:00am to 3:00pm) and Jan. 19, 2019 (time 8:00am to noon). Testing sessions will be held at 1:00pm on Jan. 19, 2019 Testing will also be held for General and Extra Class licenses. Early notification would be appreciated but not required and walk-ins are welcome for testing and the Technician Class. Testing Fee will be $15 cash preferred. There is no Fee for the 2 day class but you must be present both days.

Testing Information:

.  If upgrading bring a government issued picture ID, and  you MUST bring your Federal Communications Commission issued Registration Number (FRN) along with a Copy of your license which is available for download from the FCC website.  If you do not have a picture ID you MUST bring TWO other forms of identification such as Social Security card, birth certificate, school/work ID, bank statement, voter ID, utility bill etc.  If this is your first test, you are highly encouraged to register with the FCC for your FRN number, or you MUST provide your Social Security number for the application.

Class Information:

Classes will be back to back so you may want to bring something to drink or a light snack, we will be breaking for lunch for one hour. You are welcome to bring a calculator or note taking materials, paper, pen, or pencil. Classes are planned to be lead in a power point presentation. Outside study will be expected thru one of the online testing programs (QRZ.COM as an example). We do not intend for this class to teach the new students and future HAMS everything they need to know about Amateur Radio. We are teaching to help you pass the test. We are here to support you in your efforts to obtain your Technician license.
